Last updated: October 23, 2026. This notice describes the information handled by Flooring Calculator’s current website and calculator features. It is based on the application’s current configuration; hosting, mail, and network-security systems may have separate data practices.
Information you provide
You can use the calculators without creating an account. Public account registration is disabled in the current WordPress configuration. This site has no general Contact form; if you email admin@flooringcalculators.org, the message and the address you use are handled so the site administrator can read and reply.
Calculator inputs and results
When you run a calculator, the values entered for that calculation are sent to the site’s calculation endpoint and processed to return a result. Depending on the tool, inputs can include dimensions, quantities, product coverage, and user-entered costs. The current calculator application does not provide a visitor-facing saved calculation history or account sync. Do not enter information that is not needed for a flooring estimate.
Some tools save selected unit preferences or batch-workspace data in your browser’s local storage. That data remains in the browser profile on that device unless you clear browser storage; it is not an account-based synchronization feature.
Technical diagnostics and feedback
To troubleshoot failed calculations and invalid inputs, the calculator service can record technical diagnostic details such as the calculator identifier and version, the affected input-field path, the validation reason or error code, expected value type, applicable bounds, and event time. The structured diagnostic record does not contain the raw value typed into the field. The service also records limited PDF-generation status and error metadata.
If a calculator feedback control is available and you submit it, the message, selected issue type, calculator/page context, and related technical details may be stored for review. A free-text message can contain personal information if you choose to include it, so keep reports limited to what is needed.
PDF requests
Some calculators offer PDF downloads. A watermarked download can be available without the clean-download request. If you request a clean PDF, the form requires an email address and may request a name; the calculator identifier, calculator version, page path, consent selection, and request timestamps are also recorded with the request. The entered calculator values are sent again to generate the PDF, but the PDF-request record stores the contact and request metadata rather than a saved copy of the calculation inputs.
The application’s default retention settings are 90 days for technical diagnostics and PDF-generation records, and 365 days for PDF contact-request records. The optional behavior-telemetry setting is off in the current site configuration. These application settings do not establish the retention period for server, hosting, email, or network-security logs.
Cookies and service providers
WordPress may use necessary authentication cookies when an administrator signs in. Calculator tools use browser local storage as described above. The application configuration reviewed for this notice does not identify the hosting or email providers or expose their server-log retention settings. Those service layers may process request information such as an IP address, time, requested path, browser details, and security signals to deliver and protect the site.
Access or deletion requests
If you submitted a clean-PDF request, email us from or identify the email address used and describe the request. Calculator Core provides WordPress personal-data export and erasure handling for PDF-request records. Other technical records may not be associated with an email address, so include enough context for the administrator to locate a relevant record without sending sensitive information.
Changes and contact
This notice may be revised when the site’s tools, data handling, or service providers change. The revision date will be updated when the policy changes. Questions about this notice can be sent to admin@flooringcalculators.org. See also the Terms of Use and Disclosure.
